ALERT

ATTENTION ⚠️

In observance of the holiday, Juneteenth, Agilent CrossLab/iLab Operations Software Support Help Desk will be closed during U.S. hours on Thursday, June 19th, 2025. We will resume regular U.S. support hours on Friday, June 20th, 2025. EU and APAC Support will remain open during this time. For urgent matters, please add "Urgent" to the ticket/email subject or press "1" when prompted to escalate a call on the iLab Support phone, and we will prioritize those requests first.

ALERT

Pls. ensure to update any @iupui.edu email addresses within your user account, core account, etc. profile to reflect @iu.edu, per IU's One Mail project

Solutions for many iLab inquiries may be found on the IU iLab FAQ page.  Should further assistance be needed, contact iLab support via ilab-support@agilent.com.  The Agilent iLab Help Resources Hub is also a useful page.

Core Highlights and Accomplishments

We have a well-designed workflow for users to turn their 2D cultures into 3D tissue models that best approximate in situ conditions. Our Core features:

  • The State-of-the-Art Regenova Bio 3D Printer which prints tissues in 3D
  • The Patent-Pending FABRICA Bioreactor Platform which provides oxygenated perfusion to bioprinted tissues at controlled rates.
    • Our platform has been flow characterized ultrasonically and through computational fluid dynamics so we can achieve in vivo-like tissue culture conditions.
  • A Patent-Pending Microtissue Platform for making large volumes of spheroids for 3D bioprinting
    • Our entire platform integrates directly with cell culture incubators and can be modified to suit user needs.

We have already generated or investigated tissues ranging:

  • Bone
  • Liver
  • Reproductive tissue
  • Cornea

Some of which resulted in our research has being published in the following journals:

  • Scientific Reports
  • Biotechnology and Bioengineering
  • Bioprinting
  • Xenotranplantation
  • Current Opinion in Organ Transplantation

Which has led to prestigious awards including:

  • American Society for Transplant Surgeons: Vanguard Award
  • Orthopaedic Research Society: Alice L. Jee Award

Our research collaborations spans the IU community, including:

  • Radiology and Imaging Sciences
  • Transplant Surgery
  • Anatomy and Cell Biology
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • The Cancer Center
